Matt has nearly two decades of practice experience. After graduating from William & Mary School of Law, he started practicing at a large firm in Washington, DC. He eventually settled in Northeast Ohio, where he joined a boutique law firm with a national practice and then went in-house at a Fortune Global 500 company. His roots planted, he opted to remain when the law department relocated, founding his own company thereafter. The business had immense success, allowing him to relinquish day-to-day operations so that he could return to his first passion: Law.
Matt fancies himself a problem-solver above all else. He has learned enough to know that every solution to a problem creates a new problem. A business attorney is tasked with ensuring that the new problem is forecasted, accounted for, and mitigated. His juxtaposed experience - transactional/litigation, legal/business - allows him to adeptly put contracts into the service of business needs.
When not redlining or negotiating, Matt enjoys creative writing, board games, and hobby farming. He is (happily) married to another (happy) attorney, and together they have three amazing children.
